Not sure if I’ve ever just come out and said it like this before, but here it is. You have complete control over your own life. Whatever you want to happen you can make happen by controlling your thoughts and turning them into beliefs. And a belief is just a thought that you keep thinking. Unfortunately, we usually only convert bad or negative thoughts into beliefs.
Here’s an example. Many people feel bad about their bodies. So maybe they wake up in the morning, step on the scale and say, “Ugh! I’m so fat. I’m never going to lose this weight.” And they say it the next day, and the next day, and the next day. And they keep saying it until that initial thought really does become a belief. And when you truly believe that something is going to happen or, in this case, not happen, it will or in this case, it won’t.
You can use money, or lack of money as another example. “Ugh! I have no money. I’m so broke! I’m never going to make as much money as that guy!” Keep thinking that thought and it becomes a belief. And that belief becomes your truth.
Think about all the beliefs you set in motion every day. What are the thoughts you put out there every day and send on their way to becoming beliefs? What are your thoughts about yourself? Your relationships? Your income? Your family life? Your environment? Your government?
So now, ask yourself how you could change your world by changing your beliefs. Because a belief is just a thought you keep thinking, why not change the initial thought. Sure it might be hard at first. If you don’t particularly like your body it may be a challenge to get up each morning, step on the scale and say something like, “I’m a mean and lean machine!” Fine, don’t reach that far. Take baby steps. Maybe don’t step on the scale. Maybe just look in the mirror and say, “I’ve totally got this! I will lose this weight!” or “I will become a millionaire!” or “I will find the perfect mate!” or “I will make this business a success!” or “I will be healthy!”
You create your own reality when your thoughts become your beliefs and those become your truth. So…
What do you believe?
